The Founding Members of the U.P. Association, Late Shri V.D. Dubey, Late Shri L.B.S. Yadav, Late Shri Shiva Shankar Singh,Late Shri D.N. Mishra, and Pandit Vishnu Charan Dubey identified the various problems faced by the people of Uttar Pradesh and others States who were coming to Chennai in search of work. With inspiration from other Associations and empathy towards the problems faced, the Uttar Pradesh Association was registered in the year 1983 and the U.P. Bhawan building was constructed.
